Keep each new variable separate
Do not add a walk, crowded setting and long wear on the first fastened session. Increase one element at a time and return to an easier stage after a gap in practice. Remove the muzzle calmly before the dog begins trying to remove it.

Conditioning is not behavior treatment and does not guarantee bite prevention. A known bite history, extreme fear or urgent medical need calls for coordinated qualified help. Never leave a muzzled dog unattended or use the muzzle to punish vocalizing.
